 First of all, I'd like to start with sincere apologies to all of our loyal readers. Me, the editor, had to spend a week struggling with exams, then another two weeks in the army. This is why you haven't received the Project X Newsletter for over a month - but worry not, for as we all were awaiting for the next issue to see the light, many thought-provoking articles have accumulated in my mailbox, to provide you the ultimate pleasure of challenging reading. But before I free the stage to our authors, a small thought that occurred to me a while. Have you had a chance these two movies: "Matrix" and "Dark City"? In both of them, a race of robots or aliens has created an illusionary reality for subdued humans, in order to, respectively, exploit or experiment on them. In both stories, however, The One has appeared among the mind-numbed people, a man with the same ability to alter/control the reality as that of the robotic/extraterrestrial suppressors, and he was able to fight them off with it. The question, unanswered directly in the movies, was: how, despite the suppressors' seemingly unbeatable superiority, such powerful, freeing soul has appeared nonetheless? And since the movies are modern-days fables, their moral, the answer is this: human spirit always prevails. Look at the countries around the world, the drastic changes they governing systems went through the last 100 years. Revolts, civil wars, dethronings, the collapse of old values and ideologies. Sure, the Earth is still far from being an ideal place, notwithstanding - the people has enough, enough if oppression, enough of being told what to do and how to think. The situations that has been boiling - or festering - for decades, are now exploding in tyrannic leaders' faces. Human spirit is the one of free will, free choice, it cannot be chained forever, no matter how strong the ideologies are rooted, or how advanced the technology of aliens in "Dark City" is. Someone will always appear, who can also do the Tuning (see the movie).
